Storing files ready to use on your website

Note that all images below are taken from a standard Plone website - your website may have a different look, so the images are only a guide, they may not be exact.

If you put Newsletters on your website, you will store the PDF document as a file in your website. Also, you might want to have files available for people to look at - e.g. brochures, technical specifications, etc. Here is the process to add these to your website.

1. Log in to your website with the Login Name and Password that we gave you, if you are not already logged in. (You will see a Log In section at the bottom of the Navigation on the left if you are not logged in). Instructions are here.

2. Navigate to Home.


3. Click Contents.



4. Click Files.



5. Click Newsletters. (If you are adding a different type of file, add a Folder for that and store the new file in the new folder).


6. Click the Add new... button.


7. Select File from the list.


8. Enter the Title of the new File.


9. Click the Choose File button.


10. Navigate to the location of the file to add.


Once you have located the file, click Open.

11. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.



12. NOTE - Files are visible as soon as they are saved.
