Adding a new Training page

Note that all images below are taken from a standard Plone website - your website may have a different look, so the images are only a guide, they may not be exact.

Your website comes with the ability to add pages in the Training section. Here is how to add new Training pages as you expand what the courses you run.

As all brochures are downloaded in one file, the easiest way to create details for a new training course is to copy an existing one and change the details required.

1. Log in to your website with the Login Name and Password that we gave you, if you are not already logged in. (You will see a Log In section at the bottom of the Navigation on the left if you are not logged in). Instructions are here.

2. Navigate to Training.


3. Click Contents.



4. Select one of the other Pages from the list.


5. Click the Copy button.



6. Click the Paste button.



7. Click on the new Training page - it will be red.

8. Click Edit.


9. Follow the instructions here to amend the new Training page.

10. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.



11. NOTE - the Training page will be created as Private.

This means that you can see it, but nobody else can. This allows you to create the Product and THEN let the world see it, when it is ready.

12. When you have finished setting up the new Training page and are ready for it to be seen by everyone else:

a. Navigate to the page.

b. Click the State: Private button.


c. Click Publish.


Now your new Training page will be seen by everyone else.

13. This will leave the URL (the information that appears in the address bar at the top of your browser) with the previous title details. See here for instructions on how to change this.
