Add a table

If you need information to be laid out in a strict format, you can use a Table.

Note that all images below are taken from a standard Plone website - your website may have a different look, so the images are only a guide, they may not be exact.

1. Click where you want the table to be on the page.

2. Click the table button in the header.

3. Select the table style.

4. Enter the number of rows you need in the table. Note that you can add or remove rows later.

5. Enter the number of columns you need in the table. Note that you can add or remove columns later.

6. If you want headings on the columns, leave the Create Headings entry ticked. If you do not want headings, untick this box.

7. Click the Add Table button.

8. Change the headings and add the table entries that you want.

9. If you want to change the table details after you have created it, you can change the column alignment or add or delete rows or columns:

a. Click anywhere within the table.

b. Click the table button in the header.

c. To change the table style, select a different table style.

d. To change the column alignment for the current column, so the text is aligned against the right side of the column or centred, rather than aligned against the left side of the column, select a different option for the Current Column Alignment.

e. To add a new column to the right of the current column, click the Add button next to Column.

f. To delete the current column, click the Remove button next to Column.

g. To add a new row below the current row, click the Add button next to Row.

h. To delete the current row, click the Remove button next to Row.

i. To fix the table, compressing empty space, click the Fix button next to Table.

j. To delete the entire table, INCLUDING the text inside it, click the Remove button next to Table.

10. When all changes have been made, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
