Editing or changing a page

Note that all images below are taken from a standard Plone website - your website may have a different look, so the images are only a guide, they may not be exact.

Your website comes with basic pages set up for you. However, as your business grows or you get enquiries, you may want to change these pages, or ones you added. Here is the process to do that.

1. Log in to your website with the Login Name and Password that we gave you, if you are not already logged in. (You will see a Log In section at the bottom of the Navigation on the left if you are not logged in). Instructions are here.

2. Navigate to the page you want to change.

3. Click Edit.

4. Change the Title if you want.

a. Highlight the text you want to change.

b. Type the new text.

5. Change the Description if you want.

a. Highlight the text to change.

b. Type the new text.

This will appear when people hold the mouse over the title in the Navigation.

6. Follow the instructions here to change the rest of the page details in the Body Text area.

7. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.

8. This will leave the URL (the information that appears in the address bar at the top of your browser) with the previous title details if you changed the title. See here for instructions on how to change this.
